Global Fashion Group (GFG) has appointed André Farber its new chief executive at Dafiti Group, GFG’s fashion e-commerce platform in Latin America.
Farber was most recently vice president of Boticario Group, one of the largest cosmetics companies in Brazil and the wider Latin American region. During his 11 year tenure at Boticario, he worked to diversify the group’s offering and reach by turning it into a multi-brand, multi-channel business, growing e-commerce and expanding operations across the region.
Farber said he was “looking forward to helping strengthen the company’s leading market position and positive impact,” while taking advantage of the region’s fast e-commerce growth.
Dafiti currently operates in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Colombia. In 2020 the platform had 7.7 million active customers and employed over 3,000 people. GFG’s portfolio of e-commerce platforms also includes LaModa in Russia; Zalora in Southeast Asia; and The Iconic in Australia and New Zealand.
