The British Fashion Council cited “uncertainties arising from Covid-19″ as the reason for not hosting an official London Fashion Week event next month.

Prior to the pandemic, London’s men’s fashion weeks were held in January and June, while the women’s events took place in February and September. But after Covid-19 disrupted scheduling, the men’s and women’s events were merged. In September, London Fashion Week was held as a co-ed, hybrid digital-physical event. February and June events were also held as co-ed, mainly digital showcases.

In 2022, the BFC will hold three co-ed fashion week events, from Feb. 18-22; Jun. 11-12; and Sept. 16-20. The format will continue to be a digital-physical hybrid, the BFC said.
