Tatcha, the luxury skincare brand, has appointed Diane Kim as its new chief executive officer effective February 9th, it was announced Wednesday.

A former senior vice president of global marketing at The Estée Lauder Companies, Kim joins the brand from investment management firm Advent International where she has served as an industry advisor since 2024. Prior to this, she served as global brand president of Advent International acquired brands Laura Mercier, Bareminerals and Buxom.

Kim succeeds Mary Yee, who departed Tatcha in October 2025. In 2019, the brand was acquired by Unilever for a reported $500 million. Following the acquisition, founder Vicky Tsai exited the brand, before returning during the Covid-19 pandemic to execute a turnaround following two years of plummeting sales. Though she was succeeded by Yee, Tsai remains closely involved with the brand.

In a statement, Kim shared that her tenure will start with a focus on global growth as the Japanese-inspired skincare brand looks to expand its footprint across the UK, Europe and Asia.
