LVMH has named longstanding executive Philippe Farnier as deputy chief executive of its beauty division and of Parfums Christian Dior, the company announced on Monday.

He will report into Véronique Courtois, who was promoted to head LVMH’s beauty unit in February, replacing Stéphane Rinderknech. Alongside Dior, the beauty division also houses prestige brands such as Fresh, Benefit Cosmetics and Make Up For Ever, as well as Louis Vuitton’s new beauty line.

Farnier began his career at LVMH in 2008 as general manager for Parfums Christian Dior before becoming general manager of travel retail, EMEA and global marketing. He then spent seven years working at Rémy Martin as its Americas CEO before returning to LVMH in April 2022.

In this new role, Farnier will be responsible for strategic initiatives and commercial and omnichannel activities, with a remit to drive greater synergies and competitiveness across the division.
