Fara Homidi Beauty Secures Sandbridge Capital Funding

After a Sephora launch last year, the celebrity makeup artist’s eponymous label joins Sandbridge’s portfolio of high-profile beauty and fashion brands.

Cool-girl makeup artist brand Fara Homidi Beauty has lined up investment from Sandbridge Capital, the private equity firm known for securing exits for former investments Thom Browne, Ilia Beauty and Youth to the People.

Announced on Tuesday, the exact funding total was undisclosed, but the brand’s founder and chief executive Fara Homidi described it as a “considerable” amount that makes Sandbridge a significant minority partner. To date, the label has received investments from individual friends and family. Homidi will use the funding for a larger team, marketing and international expansion with the UK first on the agenda.

“We have been lean and mean, but we want to expand,” she said.

The winner of the Creative Execution award at The Business of Beauty Global Awards last year, Homidi’s two-year-old brand has quickly received a spotlight from Vogue covers and runway shows as well as celebrities like Hailey Bieber. The brand was first stocked at boutique luxury beauty retailers including Violet Grey and Dover Street Parfums Market before launching at Sephora in June 2024.

Ken Suslow, Sandbridge Capital founder and managing partner, said that the brand’s “artfully elevated approach to reimagining clean and efficacious colour” appealed to the firm, as well as its positioning as a luxury and makeup-artist beauty label.

The brand joins a portfolio at Sandbridge Capital that spans beauty and fashion with names like U Beauty, DedCool, Ariana Grande’s R.e.m. Beauty and Rossignol. Successful exits for Sandbridge have included Thom Browne in fashion and Ilia Beauty and Youth to the People in beauty.

“In general, we chatted less about makeup or numbers, but about building something with meaning, identity and how important the small details are in luxury,” said Homidi.
