Job Summary:
As Senior E-commerce Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining both our Salesforce Commerce Cloud websites and our React Native mobile applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business owners, product owners, architects, and other developers, to deliver seamless and engaging user experiences across all digital touchpoints. You will lead feature work that spans storefront, mobile, and back-end services; mentor junior engineers; and ensure our digital experiences remain performant, accessible, and secure for millions of shoppers.

Job Summary:
As Senior E-commerce Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining both our Salesforce Commerce Cloud websites and our React Native mobile applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business owners, product owners, architects, and other developers, to deliver seamless and engaging user experiences across all digital touchpoints. You will lead feature work that spans storefront, mobile, and back-end services; mentor junior engineers; and ensure our digital experiences remain performant, accessible, and secure for millions of shoppers.
Responsibilities:
- Drive design and delivery of complex epics, e.g., checkout re-architecture, loyalty-program launch, or multi-region PWA rollout (NA/EMEA);
- Optimize site performance (Core Web Vitals) and app startup times through code-splitting, caching, and efficient API design;
- Conduct design and code reviews, enforce secure-coding and PCI best practices;
- Guide Engineers I/II/III through pairing, feedback, and technical up-skilling; Collaborate with UX, QA, and Analytics to define acceptance criteria and measurement plans;
- Improve CI/CD and release automation to reduce time-to-production;
- Develop, enhance, and maintain our E-commerce websites built on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform using SFRA & the PWA kit (headless commerce);
- Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability across both platforms;
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by users or identified through testing;
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our digital offerings;
- Regularly contribute to the team's Confluence space to document ongoing changes.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years building customer-facing web and/or mobile applications at scale;
- Deep knowledge of SFCC (SFRA data layers, OCAPI/SCAPI, cartridges) AND modern JavaScript frameworks; Proven experience designing REST/GraphQL APIs and integrating third-party services;
- Competence with cloud infrastructure (Cloud Run, Functions, Pub/Sub, Firestore);
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills;
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
- 4+ years of experience developing applications using Node.js, ES6, and SQL/noSQL databases (MongoDB, Postgres);
- 4+ years of web development experience using jQuery, React, Vue, or Angular + HTML, CSS, CSS preprocessors (SCSS, Sass), and JavaScript.
Nice to haves:
- Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer or Salesforce Commerce Cloud Architect certification; Experience contributing to or designing a Headless architecture using the PWA Kit or other headless frameworks (Commerce Tools, Magento, Shopify, etc.); Understanding of E-commerce best practices and user experience design;
- Experience leading migrations to headless architecture or micro-front ends.
