Overview

Reporting to the Senior Merchandising Manager of Men's & Accessories, the Retail Merchandiser is responsible for defining, curating, and managing assortments across the retail network for the Men's and Accessories categories.

This role ensures seasonal collections are translated into store and cluster assortments that reflect the Moncler brand image, client profile, and commercial objectives. Working closely with Allocation, Retail Operations, Visual Merchandising, and Retail Management, the Retail Merchandiser drives sales opportunities while maintaining a consistent and elevated client experience across the retail network.

Your Impact

Seasonal Buying
  • Participate in seasonal buying sessions in Milan, ensuring alignment with global merchandising and product strategy.
  • Develop store and cluster assortments tailored to client profiles, store capacity, and regional business objectives.
  • Balance fashion innovation with commercial drivers to maximize productivity across categories.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising to translate assortment priorities into impactful floor sets and seasonal launches.

In-Season Management
  • Monitor weekly sales performance by store, category, and SKU, identifying best sellers and underperforming styles.
  • Implement corrective actions through stock rebalancing, consolidations, and assortment adjustments in partnership with Allocation.
  • Recommend commercial initiatives and product focus areas to sustain business momentum.
  • Ensure assortments remain aligned with brand strategy while responding to local market opportunities.
  • Support new store openings by building assortments, preparing opening booklets, and tracking product deliveries.

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate with Retail Management to deliver assortments and product messaging that support store KPIs.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising to align product displays with strategic priorities and key launches.
  • Provide Global Merchandising and Product teams with insights on regional performance, client preferences, and assortment needs.
  • Work with Retail, Training, and CRM teams to support product initiatives, store activations, and client engagement programs.
  • Support retail events including VIC appointments, pop-ups, and trunk shows.

Reporting & Insights
  • Prepare selling recaps and qualitative feedback for leadership and global merchandising teams.
  • Deliver clear, action-oriented reporting highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities across Men's & Accessories.
  • Track competitor activity and market trends to ensure assortments remain relevant and competitive.
  • Develop product presentations and materials to support store teams.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, fashion merchandising, or related field, or equivalent experience.


Work Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of retail merchandising or buying experience, preferably within luxury Men's Ready-to-Wear and/or Accessories.

Core Skills & Attributes
  • Strong merchandising acumen with the ability to balance brand identity and commercial performance.
  • Deep knowledge of luxury retail and men's product categories.
  • Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, Index Match).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Passion for luxury fashion, product, and client experience.
  • Experience in seasonal buying, in-store assortment planning, and in-season trading.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.


Travel

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (25%)

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Moncler includes a reasonable estimate of the salary rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. A

reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $85,000 to $100,000 per year.

In addition to competitive pay, the hired candidate will also be eligible for an annual, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, paid parental leave, 11 paid holidays, accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation time, 2 personal days, employee discounts, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Moncler Corporate Office, located in the heart of Soho, Manhattan
