Job Summary:
The Lease Administrator audits all rental expenses from basic rent, to taxes, to additional expense invoices received from shopping centre landlords and ensures that the financial lease clauses which have been negotiated are fully respected and applied against the rental charges.

Job Summary:
The Lease Administrator audits all rental expenses from basic rent, to taxes, to additional expense invoices received from shopping centre landlords and ensures that the financial lease clauses which have been negotiated are fully respected and applied against the rental charges.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyze year end Operating Cost statements from landlords;
- Evaluate budgeted figures;
- Process Minimum Rent adjustments;
- Challenge invoice discrepancies with landlords;
- Participate in the preparation of the annual fiscal budget;
- Enter information and data into real estate software;
- Good knowledge of shopping centre leases;
- Review business assessments regarding tax and invoices;
- Analyze and forecast the percentage of rent payments;
- Closely monitor and interpret retail lease clauses vis-à-vis rental charges;
- Perform rationality checks for expenses related to public services paid to the landlord;
- Ensure timely payment of rental obligations to landlords.
Qualifications:
- DEC Business Administration or Accountancy;
- At least two to three years a similar role;
- Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word);
- Knowledge of Lucernex software an asset;
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, evolving environment;
- Detailed oriented, self-motivated;
- Able to prioritize and work under little supervision;
- Good communication skills;
- Ability to handle multiple deadlines and set priorities;
- Ability to make tough decisions in times of ambiguity including the ability to comfortably communicate and challenge decision;
- Enthusiastic, energetic, results and customer service oriented while being an effective team player.
