As the Intern - Product Merchandising, Footwear & Apparel, you will play a foundational role in ensuring our product strategy comes to life across the Americas. You will support the team in managing the systems and data that allow On to deliver the right product to the right place at the right time. Reporting to the Head of Merchandising, Footwear on the Americas Merchandising team, you will gain hands-on exposure to how consumer insights and planning metrics shape our footwear and apparel assortments. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-growth brand while learning the art and science of global merchandising.
This 12-week program offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a high-growth environment where your holistic development and contribution to our human-centric culture are prioritized. This position is based out of our Portland, Oregon office for a hybrid office environment.
Your Mission
• Assist the merchandising team in managing all merchandise and planning systems to ensure seamless operational execution
• Own the integrity of merchandising data by updating internal systems to accurately reflect strategic assortment decisions
• Support the team in shaping seasonal assortments across various sales channels, learning how to balance brand vision with commercial needs
• Aggregate product feedback from regional stakeholders and help represent these insights to the global organization
• Monitor key planning metrics and data points to help the team measure the resonance of our footwear and apparel collections
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners to ensure product information is consistent and accessible across the Americas region
• Support the preparation of seasonal milestone meetings through data organization and sample management
Your Story
• You are currently pursuing or have recently completed studies in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field
• You bring a strong interest in learning the fundamentals of merchandise and assortment planning within a premium performance brand
• You possess a natural curiosity for building product based on consumer insights and understanding how planning metrics drive business decisions
• You are highly detail-oriented and organized, with a demonstrated ability to manage and maintain large amounts of data with high accuracy
• You are a proactive learner who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is comfortable navigating new digital tools and systems
• You have a passion for the sports and lifestyle industry, specifically within the footwear and apparel categories
