Position Summary

The Communications & PR Assistant Manager will assist the Communications team in delivering the brand's PR and influencer marketing strategy. This role is responsible for supporting the daily tasks involved in driving brand awareness and consumer engagement through earned media, influencer outreach, and content creation. The Communications & PR Assistant Manager will assist with media relations, press office activities, and influencer collaborations, ensuring smooth execution of campaigns and contributing to the brand's overall communication goals.

Key Responsibilities

The Communications & PR Assistant Manager will play a key role in supporting the execution of the brand's PR, influencer marketing, and media relations strategy. The Assistant Manager will have increased responsibility in project execution and relationship management, and will help drive brand awareness and consumer engagement through strategic media placements, influencer partnerships, and compelling content creation. The role requires a proactive and strategic approach to amplify brand messaging and maintain strong press and influencer relations.

What This Role Does

Media Relations & Press Support
  • Assist in developing and executing PR strategies for key campaigns, new product launches, and events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists, and key industry contacts to secure high-quality press coverage.
  • Draft press releases, media kits, and key messaging documents to support brand initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on media coverage, tracking PR performance and earned media value (EMV).
  • Oversee day-to-day press office activities, ensuring timely responses to media enquiries and sample requests.

Influencer Marketing & Outreach
  • Identify and engage with relevant influencers and content creators to enhance brand visibility.
  • Support in the planning and execution of influencer partnerships, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and strategic objectives.
  • Manage influencer content approval processes and liaise with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns.
  • Monitor influencer campaign performance, tracking engagement metrics and providing insights for future collaborations.


Event & Campaign Coordination
  • Assist in planning and executing PR and influencer events, including product launches and brand activations.
  • Coordinate press mailers and seeding initiatives, ensuring effective outreach and execution.
  • Support budget management for PR activations, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, social media, and commercial teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging across all channels.

Content Creation & Reporting
  • Assist in the creation of compelling brand narratives for press and influencer communications.
  • Track key PR and influencer marketing KPIs, providing regular reports on performance and impact.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging influencers, and competitor activity to inform strategic planning.
  • Support in crisis communications and reputation management as needed.


What You Will Need To Be Successful In This Role

  • Proven experience in PR, media relations, and influencer marketing, preferably within the beauty, fashion, or luxury sectors.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent writing skills, with experience in drafting press materials and brand messaging.
  • Familiarity with PR tools and reporting platforms such as Tribe Dynamics, Launch Metrics, or similar.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities for brand growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with social media platforms and analytics.
  • A passion for the beauty industry and an understanding of key market trends and consumer behaviour.
