Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, coach and develop the wholesale team, fostering a high-performance and accountability-driven culture
  • Set clear objectives and performance standards and ensure disciplined tracking of KPI’s and marketplace conditions.
  • Partner closely with the respective functions to ensure an aligned Go-To-Market execution.

Business Strategy and Execution:
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet sales, growth and margin objectives.
  • Account management and identifying new business opportunities & accounts
  • Manage full year and seasonal budgets to optimize marketplace inventory and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Cooperate with Merchandising and DTC channel(s) to develop tactics and coordinate liquidation of aging inventory.

20%

Retail Trade and Point of Sale Optimization
  • Plan and implement a seasonal retail trade marketing plan in partnership with brand marketing.
  • Plan and implement methods to facilitate sell-through at key wholesale retailers.

10%
  • Analyzing and reporting key business metrics, collecting and disseminating information to supporting departments.
  • T&E management with cost effective resource allocation.

Plan market tours for internal and overseas guests.

Education/Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification.

Work Experience:
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in a Sales or Brand Management role within a recognized and respected international brand.
  • Experience managing and selling an international emerging brand(s), ideally within the FMCG, luxury, footwear, fashion or lifestyle sectors.

Skills/Competencies:
  • Organizational management and leadership attributes with an exceptional ability to communicate.
  • The ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both colleagues and retail partners.
  • Knowledge of the Japanese Marketplace with an established network of Managers and Directors of key retailers.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working closely with brand marketing and product teams.
