Designer - Footwear

We are looking for a Designer to join our Design team and work throughout the entire footwear collection development process. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, technical skills, and a strong background in luxury footwear design, contributing to concept development, research, design execution, and collection follow-through.

Main activities:

• Lead the product design process for footwear collections from initial concept to final development, ensuring alignment with brand vision and commercial goals

• Drive in-depth research on global trends, materials, leathers, fabrics, colors, and construction techniques, translating insights into innovative design proposals

• Develop and present mood boards, creative concepts, and seasonal design directions

• Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and fashion illustrations for product development

• Lead and actively participate in fittings and product reviews, ensuring design intent, fit, quality, and feasibility

• Interface directly with suppliers and factories, providing technical guidance and overseeing sample development

• Build and maintain a structured archive of design materials, references, and prototypes to support collection development

• Collaborate cross-functionally with development, merchandising, and production teams to ensure coherence between creative vision and industrial execution

• Propose new ideas, constructions, and materials to continuously evolve the collection while respecting brand identity

• Monitor prototype progress and ensure timely follow-up with all stakeholders involved in the development process

Profile:

• Minimum 3/4 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury women shoe brand

• Strong ability to conceptualize and develop a footwear line, aligned with brand identity

• Good knowledge of footwear construction, fit, silhouettes, materials, colorways, stitching techniques, leathers, and trims

• Excellent illustration and technical drawing skills

• Strong research mindset with the ability to translate insights into design concepts

• High attention to detail combined with a refined sense of modern aesthetics and precision

• Proactive, resourceful, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Fluent in Italian; good knowledge of English is a plus
