We have an exciting opportunity for Outbound Administrator in our Transportation office.
Department Overview:
- The Outbound Transportation Team is responsible for all transportation to our Retail stores, Wholesale, Ecommerce and Return shipments.
- The Transportation Team is part of the Venlo supply chain division.
- This role reports directly to the Outbound Transportation Supervisor.
- The Outbound Transportation Administrator is responsible for the Outbound & Return flow of the Retail and Wholesale channel EMEA.
What You'll Do:
OUTBOUND
Communication & Coordination
- Act as the main point of contact for carriers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient outbound Transportation.
- Liaise with retail stores to provide support on delivery-related inquiries and updates.
- Communicate with internal & external departments and transportation teams across Europe regarding shipment status and expectations.
- Manage communication with all stakeholders in the event of transport delays, damages, or other exceptions.
Transportation & Carrier Management
- Respond to carrier queries promptly and proactively work to prevent recurring issues.
- Request and coordinate carrier pick-ups (including pallets) and ensure appropriate follow-up until completion.
- Support the Outbound Transportation Coordinator with the preparation and processing of all necessary shipping documentation.
Reporting & Claims
- Maintain and update regular transit and return reports to track Outbound Transportation performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Prepare and submit damage or delay claims in accordance with company policies and carrier agreements.
- Assist in collecting data for statistical reviews to evaluate transportation KPIs.
Issue Resolution & Administrative Support
- Support the resolution of transport-related issues with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide general administrative support for the outbound Transportation team (e.g., document management, scheduling, data entry).
You'll Need to Have:
- Preferred 1-2 years' experience in logistics and/or transportation
- Minimum MBO plus level or equivalent degree
- Preferred Microsoft Excel and Office 365 skills or willing to learn
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, "self-starter" environment
- Basic knowledge of supply chain
- Team-player with excellent relationship-building skills
