Camilla is a leading Australian RTW and Resort lifestyle Brand with a 20-year history and is on an accelerated global expansion path with a focus on significant growth in the US over the next 3 years. The business operates through 3 channels: Online, Retail Boutiques and Wholesale partnerships. Currently the brand operates 22 stores in Australia and 4 in the US, 3 websites that ship to 55 countries and over 250 global wholesale stockists.

In a newly created role, Camilla is searching for a President to lead the US Retail and Wholesale (including EMEA) teams to deliver the profitability targets and global expansion strategy of the Camilla Brand in the US. The role will be based in New York but report to and partner with key roles based in our HQ in Sydney, Australia.

The President will be responsible for defining and delivering the US retail store expansion strategy. Working closely with the VP of International Sales, Global Head of Retail and

Digital/E-Commerce team, to ensure a cohesive, on-brand US omni channel experience that delivers on all retail/digital/customer metrics. The role is also responsible for the development and execution of new partnerships, logistics, omni channel and operational initiatives that deliver cost and process efficiencies and compliance.

So, what else will the President be doing on a day-to-day basis?

  • Manage the rollout of the US store network, ensuring appropriate site are identified, optimal lease terms negotiated, staff employed and trained to achieve targeted opening dates, payback, and profitability metrics.
  • Oversee the US retail division, working closely with the Global Head of Retail to ensure a cohesive client and in store experience globally. Work with AU teams to ensure training, presentation and client services are aligned and on Brand.
  • Ensure sales, wages and profit targets are achieved and organisational structure in place across sales, VM, operations.
  • Oversee the Northern Hemisphere Wholesale division, ensuring strategic distribution and profitability targets are met.
  • Work closely with the VP of International sales to ensure the Department store Ready To wear expansion targets are met via on brand shop-in-shop experiences.
  • Attend AU based trade and all relevant monthly/quarterly reviews. Work Closely with Global Head of Digital/E-Comm to ensure tactical and product offer is aligned with US/EMEA markets across all channels.
  • Oversee the roll out of the US omni-Channel projects, ensuring the execution in store is delivered on time and teams are appropriately trained and supported to deliver on Omni Channel Metrics.
  • Work closely with Global Head of Logistics to ensure 3rd Party Warehouse in US is meeting commercial delivery requirements and SLA’s.
  • Work closely with AU based Marketing Department to ensure cohesive and appropriate brand comms for the specific US regions. 
  • Ensure appropriate organizational structure exists in the US and EMEA to support the global expansion strategy of the brand.

What are we looking for in the new President?

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in a Vice President or President role, managing US and/or Northern Hemisphere Retail, Online and Wholesale with Luxury or High-End Contemporary Brands.
  • High level communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to forge strong working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and senior management and Executives.
  • Experience with development of operational and logistic initiatives resulting in cost and process efficiencies.
  • Strong financial acumen, adept at managing retail commercial analysis, cost management, P & L and capital expenditure
  • Experience delivering end to end projects specifically Omni Channel initiative rollout, POS and Clienteling tool implementation.
  • Proven experience managing businesses during periods of accelerated growth across multiple sales channels.
  • Proven experience negotiating lease terms and operationally executing an accelerated Retail store rollout.
