Head of Production

In a newly created position, our Head of Production will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production operations including team, suppliers, fabric, trims and finished garments. This role involves ensuring efficient and timely execution of the production process, optimizing resources, and achieving production targets while maintaining high quality standards, in line with a Designer brand on the International stage.

On any given day, our Head of Production will…

• Maintain and grow adaptable and flexible production capabilities in line with current and future business goals.
• Evolve production strategies and capabilities to be aligned with the product aesthetic and market position.
• Collaborate with Design on product innovation to ensure beautifully executed, high quality, and profitable designer collections.
• Lead Design and Production in the evolution of the most appropriate Critical Path framework to meet business requirements and timelines.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, manufacturers, and production facilities based on their capabilities, capacity, and compliance with quality and ethical standards.
• Accelerate the development of new sourcing markets to diversify and manage risk.
• Evaluate key initiatives to ensure current R&D and design objectives are scalable – including supply chain assessment, QC management and vendor/team capacities.
• Ensure the QA teams Implement quality control measures, conduct regular inspections, and monitor the quality performance of suppliers and manufacturers.
• Manage and lead a production and technical team, and quality control team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and career development.
• Coordinate with external partners, such as third-party manufacturers and contractors, to ensure smooth production operations and timely delivery.
• Ensure that the company's products and manufacturing processes comply with applicable local and international regulations and certifications.
• Drive initiatives to promote sustainability in the production process and create circular business models such as textile to textile recycling, sourcing eco-friendly materials, implementing waste reduction measures, and optimizing supply chain logistics.

• Experience with an international brand would be highly regarded
• Planning and organisation skills to be able to manage and monitor the production process
• Capacity to grasp new concepts easily
• Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality
• Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with suppliers, team, managers and clients
• Strong negotiation skills for ensuring deliverables withing budget and on time
• Ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a logical, systematic manner
• Be open and honest with ability to communicate regularly in order to build effective relationships.
