Principal Accountabilities

  • Create annual and seasonal sales budgets ensuring that these align with the wholesale strategy and the company’s revenue projections.
  • Attend range planning and pricing meetings to ensure what is agreed will support the delivery of your sales targets.
  • Create and execute seasonal sales campaigns for London and Paris and work with international buyers to build and place orders. Ensure that these orders are processed in the (CRM) system and confirmations are sent to the client on a timely basis.
  • Drive the growth of the business across its client base by building on existing accounts and securing new key accounts. Ensure that annual growth plans are created and achieved on all key accounts.
  • Monitor the sales performance on client accounts to ensure they are on target and take corrective action where performance is not on track. Analyse sell-through reports and proactively lead initiatives (e.g., reorders, collaborations with PR and Marketing) to drive account performance and increase sales.
  • Provide weekly, monthly and seasonal sales reports to senior management on business performance and new opportunities to an agreed format. Make recommendations to senior management on the action required to address sales underperformance where this is forecast.
  • Attend production meetings and communicate any delays or issues with orders to the relevant clients on a timely basis.
  • Work closely with Logistics and Finance to ensure that client payments are being made in line with terms and shipments are being processed within any agreed delivery dates. Follow up with clients and take corrective action as necessary where issues arise.
  • Carry out regular market visits and attend wholesale partner meetings, especially with main accounts to review sales performance and ensure brand guidelines and merchandising standards are being followed.
  • Monitor the online partners to ensure the collection is well represented (e.g., photography, styling and recommended prices) and take corrective action with the client where issues are identified.
  • Monitor the visual merchandising standards of the London partners on a weekly basis to ensure the brand is represented appropriately. Maintain effective working relationships with the store staff and management as required.
  • Explore opportunities to extend partnership strategies such as ‘shop-in-shops’, with top wholesale accounts, ‘pop up’ stores, events and other collaborations.
  • Create and deliver product training in both digital and physical formats to suit the needs of the client and the brand.
  • Conduct seasonal merchandising analysis in order to determine product opportunities, trends and patterns. Analyse the competition to identify commercial product offerings at the right price point which the company could deliver.
  • Provide leadership and motivate your team to achieve success through establishing clear goals and expectations of performance, reviewing progress regularly and taking proactive action to bring performance back in line, where required.
  • Recruit, develop and retain the best available talent and provide coaching, guidance and constructive feedback on a regular basis to help team members develop and maximise their contribution to the business.
  • Build and maintain effective and productive working relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties to build the reputation of the company and the brand.
  • Ensure the CRM system and client data are maintained and current.
