3D Digital Designer

We are a growing fashion tech company in NYC looking for an expert Clo3D user with extensive hands-on experience in pattern making and sample making.

Modern Mirror’s mission consists of the integration of innovative technologies in the fields of 3D body scanning, MOCAP (motion capture), cloth draping and simulation, SaaS inventory management and visualization imagery, in creating an Avant-Garde Fitting System (AFS) for the apparel industry. The AFS will transform the way designers, apparel manufacturers and retailers interact with consumers globally, by capturing consumers’ true images, body measurements and movements.  The AFS is designed to eliminate the fitting room process for consumers by virtually displaying how clothing will look, fit and wear on their authentic image and body type. Thus creating a unique shopping experience for physical retailers and a platform for online shopping.

Position Summary

This is a contract-to-hire position with a diverse set of responsibilities, including meeting with major brands' design teams, cataloging and overseeing acquisition of digital and physical assets, scheduling deliverables, quality assurance of virtual samples, and managing relationships with major brands.

Ideal candidate will have 2 or more years experience using Clo3D in a professional setting, advanced pattern making and sample making skills, a minimum of 5 years experience in the fashion industry, and fluency in Trello or other project management software. 

Responsibilities

• Operates apparel CAD system for the creation of digital garment collections, based on provided digital or analog garment data.
• Operates VTO and garment simulation system for the creation of realistic 3D visualization of digital garments on digital twins of real persons.
• Utilizes in-house developed solutions and commercial software.
• Interacts with our apparel customers.
• Assists in maintaining ordered database of the various garment data.
• Communicates with internal developers about experience on using the various components.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Strong experience using apparel CAD systems (Clo3D).
• Experience generating digital garments using apparel CAD systems.
• Proficient computer skills using office software.
• Must have an eagerness to learn new 3D software and processes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
