It was 1973 in Santa Barbara, California, when Deckers Brands founder took a risk, followed a passion and created a new kind of footwear. With its simple, yet innovative striped design, the first Deckers flip-flop took the surf lifestyle market by storm, quickly growing into a mainstream staple.

Over the next three decades, Deckers Brands grew from a single iconic sandal into a global, multi-brand company by seeking out niche brands with a like-minded spirit and heritage. Beginning with the acquisition of the UGG® brand in 1995 and continuing with Teva®, AHNU®, and HOKA®, Deckers Brands has grown each brand into a lifestyle leader through innovative design and passionate marketing.

While you can trace our roots to Southern California, the global community is where you’ll find us now. And we believe our reach makes us even stronger. From our international retail stores to our global corporate offices, our dedication to supporting passion and pursuing innovation knows no borders.

Deckers is a thriving place to work and grow. Our culture is built on the philosophy of: Together, Every Step. On the Deckers team, we know that together is how we deliver exceptional results and it is how we experience an uplifting place to work. It is how we give back to our communities, and the world.

Together, Every Step comes to life through five pillars that are central to everything we do.
