Tiger of Sweden taps CEO from Hugo Boss

Tiger of Sweden has hired Linda Dauriz as chief executive, replacing Hans-Christian Meyer effective December 1, 2019. Dauriz was previously director of customer experience and corporate development at Hugo Boss.

Gucci appoints global communications lead

Gucci has promoted Beniamino Marini to the role of global communications director. Previously global social media and editorial content manager at the company, Marini succeeds Alessio Vannetti, who stepped down late September.

Guess names CFO

Katie Anderson has joined Guess as chief financial officer, with the appointment taking effect December 2, 2019. She replaces company veteran Sandeep Reddy, who is staying on in the role until December 1. Prior to Guess, she served as finance chief at restaurant chain California Pizza Kitchen.

Unilever chair steps down

Marijn Dekkers has stepped down as chairman of Unilever’s board, effective immediately, with Non-Executive Director Nils Andersen named as his successor. Dekkers, who was initially appointed to the role in April 2016 and will continue to serve as a non-executive director, cited the increasing responsibilities as founder and chairman of investment and advisory firm Novalis LifeSciences as his reason for departing. 

Arcadia hires three digital executives

Topshop owner Arcadia has made three senior appointments: Rafaele Petruzzo to the newly created role of group chief digital officer and board member; Karl De Bruijn to chief information officer; and Simon Pakenham-Walsh to digital and retail technology director. Petruzzo and De Bruijn will report to Group Chief Executive Ian Grabiner, while Pakenham-Walsh reports to De Bruijn.

Amazon executive departs

After 20 years at the company, Senior Vice President Steve Kessel is leaving Amazon. During his time at the e-commerce company, the executive worked on projects including the Amazon Kindle and physical store Amazon Go.

True Religion hires CEO

Michael Buckley has returned to denim brand True Religion to serve as chief executive, starting immediately. Most recently chief executive of Differential Brands Group (now Centric Brands), Buckley was previously president of True Religion from 2006-2010. He reports to the company’s board of directors in his new role and replaces Farla Efros, who filled the role of interim chief executive for six months.

Club Monaco names Richard Chai as creative director

Club Monaco has appointed Richard Chai senior vice president, creative director, reporting to Global Brand President and Chief Executive Francis Pierrel. Chai, who recently closed his namesake label, replaces Steven Cateron, who held the role of creative director, senior vice president of design.
