Rebekka Bay Joins Everlane
Online apparel start-up Everlane has appointed Rebekka Bay as the new head of product and design, effective 4th August. Current head of design, Petra Langerova, will remain at the company as an advisor. Prior to joining Everlane, Bay held the position of creative director of Gap, from 2012, stepping down from the role in January 2015. Previously, she has held the creative director role at Cos.
Viktor & Rolf Names Chief Executive
Andrea Collesei has been named the new chief executive of Viktor & Rolf, as the Dutch fashion label's moves to reposition itself in the high luxury segment. Collesei joins from Diesel, where he had been head of distribution since 2011. Both Diesel and Viktor & Rolf are part of Renzo Rosso's OTB Holdings. Earlier this year, Rosso announced he would be suspending production of the Viktor & Ross' ready-to-wear line after Autumn/Winter 2015, to concentrate on the brand's couture collections, fragrances and licensed businesses.
Yihaodian Co-founders Resign
Yu Gang and Liu Junling, chairman and chief executive of Yihaodian, Wal-Mart's Chinese e-commerce venture, have stepped down. The pair co-founded the company in 2008 and are leaving to pursue other ventures. Their departure allows Wal-Mart, which holds a 51 percent stake in the company, to grow its involvement in Yihaodian's day-to-day operations.

Hunter Announces CFO
Benedict Smith has been appointed as chief financial officer at Hunter, effective 27th July. Smith joins the company from Game Digital, where he was also chief financial officer. Previously, he had worked at Harrods and private equity firm, TPG Capital.
John Dixon Exits Marks and Spencer
John Dixon has resigned as head of Marks and Spencer's non-food division after 26 years working for the company. Like-for-like sales for Marks and Spencer's non-food division were down 0.4 percent this quarter.
Tamara Mellon Appoints Chief Design Officer
The Tamara Mellon Brand has hired Tania Spinelli as chief design officer effective immediately. Spinelli will oversee all women's footwear design at the label. Prior to the appointment, Spinelli worked on her eponymous brand in 2005, which is to be folded into the Tamara Mellon brand.
New York Times Hires European Correspondent
Elizabeth Paton has joined New York Times Styles as the publication's first-ever full-time European correspondent in London, effective 10th August. She will be reporting to New York Times Styles editor Stuart Emmrich and New York Times fashion director and chief fashion critic Vanessa Friedman. Prior to this, Paton was the fashion and luxury correspondent for the Financial Times.
