This week, it was announced that Larsson will take the helm from Manny Chirico in February, while Patagonia named Rose Marcario’s successor.

LONDON, United Kingdom — BoF compiles the most important professional moves of the week.

PVH names new CEO. 

Stefan Larsson has been appointed chief executive of American clothing company PVH, effective February 2021. Larsson was previously chief executive of Ralph Lauren between 2015 and 2017 before joining PVH as president last June. Larsson will be responsible for leading PVH during a critical time for the retail sector, replacing Chief Executive Manny Chirico, who has run the company since 2006. Chirico will remain on as board chairman.

Patagonia announces new chief executive.

Ryan Gellert will be replacing Rose Marcario as CEO of Patagonia Works, following the latter’s exit in June. Gellert was previously general manager of Patagonia's business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Patagonia also announced Jenna Johnson’s appointment as CEO of Patagonia, Inc., which oversees Patagonia's apparel and equipment business, and Lisa Williams as the company’s new head of innovation, design and merchandising.

Reebok appoints global creative director.

Pyer Moss Founder and Designer Kerby Jean-Raymond has been named global creative director of Reebok, expanding his four-year relationship with the sportswear brand. Jean-Raymond will report to Reebok President Matt O'Toole, and will be responsible for all apparel and footwear design at the company. The first products under his design direction are expected to come to market in 2022.

Condé Nast hires first-ever global chief diversity and inclusion officer.

Yashica Olden has been hired as Condé Nast’s first ever global chief diversity and inclusion officer, effective October 26. In her new position, Olden will be responsible for implementing diversity and inclusion strategies across Condé Nast’s portfolio of companies. Olden previously held the position of executive director of inclusion and diversity on WPP’s global culture team. Olden will report to Condé Nast Chief People Officer Stan Duncan.

Cartier North America appoints first diversity and inclusion executive.

Cartier North America has hired Erica Lovett to lead diversity and inclusion at the French brand’s US arm. Lovett will work closely with senior leadership to develop a diversity and inclusion strategy, and will report to Mercedes Abramo, Cartier North America president and chief executive officer. Lovett joins Cartier from Condé Nast, where she led inclusion and diversity initiatives for the US market.

Condé Nast names new China head.

Li Li will helm Condé Nast China starting October 12, after China’s golden week holiday. Li is succeeding Sophia Liao, whose abrupt departure from Condé Nast China on September 9 has grown increasingly contentious. After overseeing Condé Nast China for two years, Liao was abruptly asked to leave despite a formal six-month notice period, which Liao said infringed upon Chinese labour laws. Li, who previously served as head of Greater China at Bose, will report directly to Condé Nast CEO Roger Lynch.

Shiseido Americas appoints chief information officer.

Shannon Britton has been named chief information officer of Shiseido US, where she will manage all IT application enterprises and platforms. Britton will report to Ron Gee, Shiseido Americas’ interim chief executive officer. She will also become part of the company’s North American subsidiary’s executive leadership team.

Purple Dot taps former Diane Von Furstenburg CEO.

Sandra Campos has joined the advisory board of retail innovator Purple Dot, effective immediately. Campos, who formerly served as CEO of  Diane Von Furstenberg, is also the founder and CEO of the online education platform Fashion Launchpad. Campos will report to Purple Dot Founders Madeline Parra and John Talbott.
