LONDON, United Kingdom – BoF compiles the most important professional moves of the week.

Marc Jacobs Appoints New CEO
French luxury conglomerate and Marc Jacobs parent company LVMH has appointed Sebastian Suhl as the American fashion label's new CEO. Suhl, who is currently CEO at Givenchy, another label in the LVMH stable, will begin his new role this September. He succeeds Bertrand Stalla-Bourdillon, who has held the position since 2006. Stalla-Bourdillon will remain at LVMH and will be assigned to another brand. Pierre-Yves Roussel, chairman and CEO of the LVMH Fashion Group, as well as chairman at Marc Jacobs, said that Suhl would help initiate a number of new projects at the label, including expanding the brand in the US and renewing its accessories line. He also added that Suhl could help the label prepare for a future IPO. Suhl first joined the French luxury group in 2012, after 11 years at Prada Group, whose IPO debuted on the Hong Kong stock exchange in 2011. LVMH has also tapped Philippe Fortunato to take over the helm at Givenchy.
