LONDON, United Kingdom — Next month, on 24 October, French luxury conglomerate Kering will host its first ever Retail Talent Day in London. The event, which will be attended by Kering's managing director Jean-Francois Palus, is designed to identify top retail talent currently based in London, and match it with both immediately available and future employment opportunities at the French group.

The event forms part of the French group's wider, talent-focused, retail strategy. "Of all the assets in a group such as Kering, people are the most important factor in building the luxury retail businesses of tomorrow," explains Christophe Luraschi, Kering's retail academy director. 20 retail leaders will join both Palus and Luraschi, each representing an individual Kering brand including Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, Brioni, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Christopher Kane, Pomellato and Puma.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and talk to retail managers, watch brand videos and listen to guest speakers, gaining insight in the retail agendas of each brand and the available opportunities in each business. Retail managers from each brand will also share their expertise through presentations as well as through informal discussions with attendees. Throughout the day, Kering representatives will demonstrate how the group attracts and retains top retail talent, by offering bespoke career development paths and highly tailored trajectories.

The morning session, running from 10.00 to 13.00 is dedicated to those interested in store management positions, while the afternoon session, held from 14.00 to 17.00, is aimed at prospective sales associates. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss current vacancies with retail managers. The event will be held at 66 Portland Place, Marylebone, London, W1B 1AD on Monday 24 October 2016.
