LONDON, United Kingdom — This week, we pay our respects to designer and entrepreneur Sonia Rykiel, who passed away Thursday at 86, leaving behind a design vision wrapped in Left Bank insouciance and a a high-potential business now owned by First Heritage Brands, a subsidiary of Fung Capital Ltd.
In other news, financial backer CLCC and a trio of Antwerp-based designers are reviving the indie label Band of Outsiders, which shuttered in 2015 after failing to pay its debts.
