Alibaba outlines succession plan for Jack Ma, with Daniel Zhang as future chairman
Alibaba has confirmed that chief executive Daniel Zhang will succeed founder Jack Ma as chairman of its board after a one-year transition period. The news comes after Ma revealed his plans to retire. Zhang has been in the chief executive position since 2015 and was with the company for 11 years.

Temperley London names CEO
Sally Hughes has been named chief executive of Temperley London, succeeding Patricia Sancho. Hughes previously held finance and digital marketing positions at Net-a-Porter and Google and led Glossier's launch in the UK.

Condé Nast Germany president steps down
Moritz von Laffert will leave his role as vice president of Condé Nast International and president of Condé Nast Germany in 2019. Prior to Condé Nast International, Von Laffert held various leadership positions at Axel Springer SE.

Vogue Greece re-launches with new editor-in-chief and publisher
Thaleia Karafyllidou has been appointed editor-in-chief of Vogue Greece, which will re-launch in Spring 2018. She began her career in senior communications and marketing roles. In addition, Natassa Bouterakou has been named publisher, while Nicolas Georgiou joins as creative and fashion director.

Copenhagen Fashion Week appoints CEO
Cecilie Thorsmark has been named chief executive of Copenhagen Fashion Week, effective November 1. Thorsmark will succeed Camilla Frank, who has held the position since December 2016. She was previously the event's head of press and communications.

McArthurGlen Group appoints deputy CEO
Susie McCabe has been appointed deputy chief executive at McArthurGlen Group. McCabe joins the company from Under Armour, where she was senior vice president of global retail. Prior to that, she spent 16 years at Ralph Lauren.
