LONDON, United KingdomThe Business of Fashion is delighted to announce that McKinsey & Company will be the exclusive knowledge partner for VOICES, BoF's new annual gathering for big thinkers, taking place this December 1-3 at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, UK.

VOICES is a new kind of industry event, focused on bringing together the movers, shakers and trailblazers of the fashion industry and uniting them with the big thinkers, entrepreneurs and inspiring people who are shaping the wider world.

As some of you know, I began my career working as a management consultant at McKinsey in London, so this partnership is something of a 'full circle' moment for us at BoF, and for me personally. But this is not a partnership based on nostalgia. McKinsey is the ideal partner for BoF, giving us access to their network of fashion and apparel experts spanning the globe, as well as the deep thinking from the highly respected McKinsey Global Institute, an in-house think tank focused on researching the major challenges and trends changing the world — a perfect fit with our mission for VOICES.

Indeed, VOICES will help spark ideas and solve real-world challenges by connecting fashion leaders and entrepreneurs with visionaries from fields as diverse as science, technology, health and wellness, food, film, politics, the arts, philosophy and philanthropy, and equipping them with the knowledge they need to navigate the complexities of a world undergoing radical shifts. From Brexit to climate change, geo-political shocks to terrorism and deep underlying shifts in consumer behaviour, this is a time of unprecedented and radical change.

Over the coming months, we will be collaborating closely with McKinsey to co-create in-depth analysis to help you better understand all of these issues. McKinsey will also unveil its Global Fashion Index — an ambitious new piece of research covering over 500 fashion companies — for the first time at VOICES, setting a new benchmark for the global fashion industry.

Achim Berg, a senior partner with McKinsey in Frankfurt, and global co-lead of McKinsey’s Apparel Fashion & Luxury Group, will head up the collaboration, alongside Leonie Brantberg, associate partner in McKinsey's London office.

McKinsey is the world's leading top management consultancy, with 13,000 consultants. The firm counts among its clients nearly all of the 100 largest global industrial corporations and also serves a broad spectrum of retailers and consumer-product manufacturers on strategic, organisational, and operational topics.

We are delighted to be partnering with McKinsey and look forward to sharing the insights and expertise that come from this special collaboration with the BoF Community.
